Mark has been Superintendent of Medicine Hat Public School Division since April of 2016. In nearly 30 years in education he has served as a teacher, school administrator and central office leader at every grade level, and in rural and urban Alberta. Mark was drawn to Our Collective Journey by their passion for our community and their desire to be immediately present for whoever needs them.

Simon brings vast board experience from a long list of both business and volunteer memberships. Simon brings a unique focus on strategic direction and adjusting to growth with a strong understanding of Team and Board effectiveness to the Collective.

Robbie grew up in Duchess, AB. That small community taught her the value of volunteering and giving back to the community and people around you. She has volunteered on various boards in Southern Alberta. She is proud to be giving back to the community of Medicine Hat, a place she now calls home, by being on the board of the OCJ. Robbie is a Chartered Professional Accountant who works for Bevan and Partners.

The power of utilizing shared experience to destigmatize mental illness/addiction and help people find a road to healing is what drew me to OCJ. Today, I am a fierce mental health advocate and ambassador for change. Like my incredible fellow OCJ Board members, I share a passion for bettering my community, my loved ones and myself. Because we all deserve that.

Meredith's volunteer work started based around her children on school and sports boards and then moved into community boards with the most recent being OCJ. She is an Educational Assistant for the Prairie Rose School division at a pre school.

Willy Taillon, born and raised in Medicine Hat, is a Captain with the Medicine Hat Fire and Emergency Services and proud to serve our community for the last 18 years. Willy is am a strong ambassador for our beautiful, a hot air balloon pilot, and driving force behind Medicine Hat’s Rise Up Hot Air Balloon Festival in 2022.

Jamie is a CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) and has spent her career advocating, protecting and holding employers accountable for the physical, emotional and social safety of their employees. She now uses those same skills to advocate, protect and hold accountable the loved ones of addicts.

Shonna serves the community of Crescent Heights High School as the Principal. She has been involved in supporting youth for over 30 years as a teacher, counselor, coach, mental health capacity building project coordinator and administrator.

Through many trials and tribulations personally, Jenni has learned the value of helping and supporting others and has found OCJ to be the perfect place to pay it forward through their core values.
