The Family
Collective

A support program for families and loved ones impacted by addiction.

Begins October 22, 2027

The Family CollectiveOur Collective Journey (OCJ) and Medicine Hat Family Services (MHFS) have partnered to offer The Family Collective; an educational, facilitated program designed specifically for families and loved ones impacted by addiction.

Through structured learning modules, worksheets, group discussions, and practical tools, participants gain a better understanding of addiction and recovery while exploring healthy boundaries, communication, relapse, and the difference between supporting and enabling.

The program also creates space for families to connect with others who understand their experiences, rebuild relationships, and focus on their own well-being.Because recovery affects the whole family, support should too.

The Family Collective offers knowledge, connection, and practical strategies to help families navigate the challenges of addiction while building healthier relationships and a stronger foundation for recovery.

‍Registration is required to participate. Registration is now closed for this current session.
‍

This meeting is for anyone who is supporting a loved one in addiction. We will learn:

  • how to help without enabling
  • navigating relapse
  • self care for supporters
  • setting boundaries
  • build communities and learn resources

Although it is not an anonymous meeting, we ask that no identifying details of someone’s journey be shared outside the meeting room unless you have consent from them.

This program is a pilot program executed in partnership with Medicine Hat Family Services.
